Our Semi-Annual Sale Begins Today!

We’re almost halfway through 2019, and we’ve already published sixteen books. We’ve still got a long way to go before we close out the year, with seventeen new titles set to release between now and 2020. Check out our upcoming releases page for an updated list of what’s currently on our calendar through 2021!

To celebrate our authors, catalog, and customers, we’ve been hard at work developing new ways for readers to connect with our stories. We’ve recently launched a book club, hosted a series of author roundtables on Youtube, and started production on a few audiobooks. As time goes on, our goal is to solidify our place in the world of speculative fiction by continuing to adapt to the changing landscapes of web commerce and publishing. Our next offering is a great example of that!

Introducing the Kyanite Collector’s Pass

The Kyanite Collector’s Pass is a 12-month membership with two major benefits:

Unlimited access to all the eBooks we’ve released so far, along with all the eBooks that release during the term

AND

25% off all print orders

*Every book we’ve released and will release is available as an eBook

*When you purchase the pass, you’ll automatically be sent a login and a password to manage your account and downloads for the term

For a limited time, the Kyanite Collector’s Pass is on sale for only $39 for the year! If you purchase it today, by the time your membership is over you’ll have access to over 40 books! That’s less than a dollar per eBook, not to mention the 25% print order discount!

Other Sale Items

Our new Collector’s Pass isn’t the only item on sale. We’re also offering 20% off a different pre-order or new release each day. We’ll be announcing the featured book each morning on social media, and our website will reflect the sale price (no coupon necessary). If you aren’t on social media, the easiest way to keep up will be to check the shop page daily for new deals.

Thank You

We wouldn’t exist without the generosity of the reading community. We appreciate your support! If you get a chance, please help us spread the word about our new membership and our semi-annual sale by sharing this blog post or any of our social media posts with the readers in your life.

Sincerely,

The Kyanite Crew

Today marks the release of “Warriors of Understone: The Tales of Durgan Stoutheart,” by Author B.K. Bass, a new novella and the first in the Durgan Stoutheart series! This marks the first time Kyanite Publishing has printed a novella, and we love the look and feel of it!

Warriors of Understone by B K Bass

In this fast-paced fantasy story, Durgan must struggle to overcome not only his common birth but also the prejudices of a stagnant and isolated society to become one of the warriors of Understone. Plagued by threats both within and without, life is a constant struggle to survive and a furious battle is around every corner. Durgan may overcome opponents with axe and shield, but can he change the very values of his society with the same tools?

Discovering New Worlds – Social Science Fiction

In the latest addition to the Kyanite Press Online, Editor in Chief B.K. Bass delves into the worlds of Social Science Fiction. Check out this and more genre studies (with short fiction!) in the ongoing column: Discovering New Worlds with B.K. Bass.

Social Science Fiction examines sociological, anthropological, and psychological issues as its main focus. The term was coined by Isaac Asimov to define his own work in the 1940’s. At the time, science fiction had consisted mostly of the ‘spaceships and ray guns‘ styles; such as what is often found in planetary romance tales. During the 1940’s, there was a movement spearheaded by the likes of Asimov and Robert A Heinlein to use science fiction as a way to examine our own sociological issues from new perspectives.
